Overlook at Hidden Lake is located in Cherry Log, Georgia, between Blue Ridge and Ellijay. The location makes it easy to enjoy both mountain towns while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful lakefront setting.
How many guests can the cabin accommodate?
The cabin sleeps up to 11 guests.
Sleeping arrangements include:
Primary Bedroom — King bed
Bedroom 2 — King bed
Bedroom 3 — Queen bed
Loft — Three twin beds
Lower Level — Queen sleeper sofa
How many bathrooms are there?
The cabin has 2 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms.
Do we need four-wheel drive to reach the cabin?
No. Four-wheel drive is not necessary.
All roads leading to the cabin are paved, making access straightforward in normal driving conditions.
How many vehicles can we park at the cabin?
The property can comfortably accommodate up to 5 vehicles.
Is EV charging available?
Yes. We have an EV charger available for guests upon request.
Please let us know before your stay if you will need it so we can have it ready for you.
Is the cabin directly on the lake?
Yes. Overlook at Hidden Lake has private lakefront access and a private dock.
A lighted path leads from the cabin down to the lake and dock area.
Can guests use the kayaks and canoe?
Yes. Guests have access to the cabin’s kayaks and canoe during their stay.
Life jackets should be worn whenever using the watercraft.
Can we fish in the lake?
Yes. Guests are welcome to fish from the dock or around the lake. Bring your own fishing equipment.
The nearby Toccoa River also offers additional fishing opportunities, and several local guides operate throughout the area.
Is there a hot tub?
Yes. The cabin has a private hot tub overlooking the surrounding mountain and lake setting.
What is there to do at the cabin?
You can have a full vacation without leaving the property.

We have both a traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig.
Whether you prefer brewing a full pot in the morning or making individual cups throughout the day, you’re covered.
Is there a full kitchen?
Yes. The cabin has a full kitchen designed for larger groups, along with plenty of space for preparing meals and dining together.
We recommend doing your main grocery shopping before settling in—you may find that once you arrive, you don’t want to leave.
Is the cabin pet friendly?
Pets may be permitted with prior approval.

Is the cabin good for families?
Yes. The cabin was designed with families and groups in mind.
Three levels provide plenty of shared gathering space while also giving guests room to spread out. The loft, game room, lake, outdoor spaces and multiple living areas make it especially well suited for family and multigenerational trips.
As with any mountain and lakefront property, children should be supervised around decks, stairs, the lake, dock, hot tub and fire areas.
How close are Blue Ridge and Ellijay?
The cabin sits between both towns, making it easy to explore either direction.
Blue Ridge is the closest major shopping and dining area, while Ellijay offers another excellent selection of restaurants, wineries, orchards and attractions.

Where should we buy groceries?
Both Blue Ridge and Ellijay have Walmart and Ingles locations.
Blue Ridge is generally closer to the cabin, although guests arriving through Ellijay may find it more convenient to shop before continuing to the property.
Both Walmart locations offer pickup, and Ingles has a large deli and prepared-food section.
Do we need to bring linens and towels?
No. The cabin is prepared for registered guests with the standard linens and towels needed for your stay.
Are there fireplaces and outdoor fire areas?
Yes. Overlook at Hidden Lake offers multiple indoor and outdoor fire features, including fireplaces and dedicated outdoor gathering areas.
Please follow the instructions provided at the cabin and observe any local fire restrictions that may be in effect during your stay.
Can we check in early or check out late?
Early check-in and late checkout may occasionally be available depending on the cleaning and reservation schedule.

What is the walk like from the cabin to the lake and private dock?
The path to the lake is built into the hillside and includes a mix of short level sections and steps made from 6x6 timber posts.
The walk is not considered easy, but it is manageable for most able-bodied guests who are comfortable with stairs or moderate hiking. Guests with limited mobility, balance concerns or difficulty climbing stairs should consider the path carefully before using the lake area.
The route is lighted for added visibility, but appropriate footwear is still recommended.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms depend on how and where the reservation is booked. The applicable cancellation policy will be shown before you complete your reservation.
